Three couples from Delhi, chose to move log stock and barrel to Alibaug; to live with nature and age gracefully together. We were asked to design them a commune like setting, in which they could come together and live equally private lives. At the heart of their ask was a strong emphasis on the sustainability of the project. We have in turn, upheld their commitment to their community and local ecology throughout the design and construction, whenever possible. Within the compound we have deployed specially designed Skim Solar Roofs, used locally sourced materials, planted and maintained indigenous flora, incorporated rain water harvesting and a vegetable garden.
