Lakeshore House, 2022
The home is like a two story filter to the breezes, views and bird calls. The construct is in metal and earth wall infill, this Lakeshore home is built as an investigation into frame and infill construction. The Lake House is nestled within the surrounding landscape, emerging from the ground in earthen walls, the metal structure echoes the linearity of the vertical tree trunks. We are indeed fortunate, to get sites like this one to work on, from the water, the home disappears behind the first line of trees, as such movement reveals the plot and the home becomes an episodic story of framing the serene lake horizon.
